Blitz

Leszek Chmielewski wrote the first game that uses the new attribute modes of the SPECTRA interface. It is a version of the classic City Bomber game, where the aim is to drop bombs to raze a city of skyscrapers to the ground in order to allow the bomber aircraft to land. The game utilises SPECTRA attribute mode 8x2 DB. Screenshots of the game are shown below:

The game can also be used on a standard Spectrum, in which case it is slightly less colourful:

The game was written in BASIC on a PC and cross-compiled using ZX BASIC Compiler (a utility written in Python by Jose Rodriguez).
